Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign — Tamale
In partnership with the National Youth Authority, SCF delivered a community-wide Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign in Tamale, Northern Ghana. The initiative brought free health screenings, education sessions, and awareness materials to hundreds of women who would otherwise have had no access to such services. Community health workers were also trained as long-term awareness champions to continue the work beyond the campaign period.

Learning Kits Distribution Drive
SCF distributed essential school supplies — exercise books, pens, geometry sets, and stationery — to students in underfunded schools in Northern Ghana. Each kit was assembled for as little as $5–10, making the initiative highly cost-effective and replicable. The program directly addressed one of the most cited barriers to school attendance among low-income families.

Peer Mentorship Network — Inaugural Cohort
SCF launched its inaugural Peer Mentorship Network, connecting secondary school and university students in Ghana with professional mentors — educators, researchers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. The first cohort ran over three months and included both in-person and virtual sessions, career exploration workshops, and scholarship application guidance.

Girls’ Education Sensitisation Campaign
SCF ran a community sensitisation drive promoting girls’ education, child protection, and gender equality in schools and households in Northern Ghana. The campaign engaged families, traditional leaders, and school authorities through assemblies and door-to-door outreach — reinforcing the message that every girl deserves an education and a future.

Community Clean-Up & Hygiene Campaign

Residents were mobilised to clean shared spaces, while volunteers delivered interactive hygiene education on handwashing, safe water storage, and waste disposal — leaving communities cleaner and better informed.

Digital Skills Bootcamp — Cohort 1
SCF delivered its inaugural 4-week Digital Skills Bootcamp, equipping youth and young adults with digital literacy, internet safety, social media for business, and introductory data skills. Participants left with practical skills to navigate and leverage the digital economy for self-employment and career advancement in Ghana.
“Every project we complete is proof that community-driven change works — and that more is possible with your support.”

Community Dialogue for Peace — Northern Ghana
A series of facilitated community conversations in Northern Ghana bringing together residents, traditional leaders, and youth groups to discuss inter-community relations, shared values, and peaceful coexistence. Sessions will be led by trained local facilitators using structured dialogue guides.
Digital Skills Bootcamp — Cohort 2
Building on the success of Cohort 1, SCF is preparing the second cycle of its Digital Skills Bootcamp — expanding capacity to serve more participants, adding new modules on freelancing and e-commerce, and extending the program to new communities beyond Tamale.
School Library & Reading Corner Initiative
SCF is planning to establish small reading corners and mini-libraries in three underfunded primary schools in Northern Ghana — stocking them with age-appropriate books, educational materials, and story collections that children can access freely to build literacy skills and a love of reading.
